LinkedIn Etiquette: The Fine Line Between Connecting and Spamming

LinkedIn is an incredibly valuable tool. It’s an efficient way to engage and communicate with your channel partners and prospects, it enables account mapping, and enhances social selling. The platform is useful for so many things, but one of those things should NOT be spamming.

I’ve received so many connection requests lately that are immediately followed by a barrage of messages offering services, many of which don’t make sense for me or my company.

I offer you, exhibit A:

It starts out brief and polite...

But then the follow ups just keep on coming...

 

 

And I’m not alone. Even gladiator Russell Crowe gets frustrated with LinkedIn sometimes…
