Founded by Heather K. Margolis, a self-described “recovering channel executive,” Channel Maven Consulting benefits from Heather’s experience working in channel programs and channel marketing.
Heather K. Margolis, Founder and President
Our fearless leader, Heather, founded Channel Maven Consulting in 2009. A self proclaimed “recovering channel professional” Heather is passionate about enabling manufacturers and their channel partners to drive more business through their channel programs. Having led channel programs for companies like EMC, EqualLogic and Dell, Heather helps channel organizations of all sizes build smarter channel programs, manage channel relationships to find added value, and engage their communities through social and traditional media. Heather regularly speaks to manufacturer and channel partner audiences about getting the most from social and traditional media. She also speaks to a variety of audiences about entrepreneurship, building a service business, and B2B strategy.

Jenn Reed, Director, Channel Consulting
Jenn joins Channel Maven as a recruit from one of Heather’s channel marketing workshops. Always a channel marketing and partner marketing enthusiast Jenn was drawn to the ability to work with partners and vendors to better engage through traditional and social media. Jenn’s IT and UC channel experience runs the gamut. From sales to product to marketing to channel marketing; for some of the largest communications manufacturers in the industry including Nortel, Panasonic and VTech. With nearly 20 years under her belt Jenn completely “gets” the tech channel. With a no-nonsense approach (and a bit of a techno-geek); having worked in and across every functional area, Jenn’s gained the intuitive ability to roll-out successful marketing campaigns to drive sales while building long-term relationships with partners and end users alike. A New Yorker at heart, Jenn lives in paradise, a.k.a. Sarasota, FL, where she can usually be found on or near a boat when she’s not on or near her laptop.
Lisa Deison, VP of Operations
If a project needs to be managed or details need to be oriented Lisa is your woman. After starting her career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, Lisa now enjoys helping vendors better engage with partners and partners grow their businesses. Growing up an Army brat who was lucky to live in exotic locations such as Germany and Hawaii, Lisa has called Colorado home for 23 years. When not helping the channel achieve its goals, Lisa is a proud mother of 2 who loves to travel, cook, read, ski, hike and camp.
Janine Dolan, Director, Client Engagement
Janine joins Channel Maven with over 15 years of marketing experience. She most recently led multi-channel, customer-centric marketing strategies and campaign development for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals in the Greater Boston area. Prior to her career in Pharma, she was at the marketing agency Digitas for over 8 years. Janine built her passion for marketing creativity through managing client accounts in the automobile, travel and pharmaceutical industries. Early in her career Janine worked for several small technology companies in product management/marketing roles. She loves how technology has enabled marketing to evolve through the years especially with CRM, digital and social media programs.
Though loving Boulder, Boston is and always will be Janine’s hometown. A diehard Red Sox fan there is nothing better to her than being at Fenway Park. She has learned first hand that if you keep believing against all odds Boston will come through for you and is proud to be from the city of the Citgo Sign, swan boats, Harvard, Tom Brady, Big Papi and the Boston Marathon.
McNall Mason, Director, Social Strategy
McNall is a true marketing generalist with an emphasis in Social Media and Business Development. Her experience runs the gamut from Telecom Project Management and sales to building a successful start-up and includes time as Marketing Director and Business Development for a top online therapist directory service. After a year in The Channel as Director of Marketing for a software company, McNall joined Channel Maven Consulting to help Vendors and Channel Partners amplify their social reach and drive more demand through the channel. McNall’s free time is spent as Board President of Exceptional Families Network, a 501c3 supporting special needs children and their families, writing and illustrating kids’ books with her autistic son, Max to raise money for charities, public speaking about autism, hanging out with family, cooking and enjoying a peaceful life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Lexi Strickland, Sr. Marketing Coordinator & Team Lead
With her can-do spirit Lexi ensures whatever you’re imagining at the strategic level will be executed. Her background in Communication and creativity assists her in bringing a fresh perspective when helping businesses achieve their goals. She worked with United Methodist Communications doing social media and social analytics during the first part of 2014. She’s passionate about researching and staying up to date on social trends, helping businesses better engage in the social sphere. It doesn’t get much more organized than Lexi. If something’s been color coded whether a project plan or social content we know Lexi has been there! Growing up in Boulder she’s excited to continue calling this beautiful town home. She enjoys cooking, singing, her little dog Mr. Riley, and spending time with friends and family.
Carson Mulligan, Marketing Coordinator
Hailing from Durango, CO, Carson is a life long Coloradan and graduate of the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder. Carson was bitten by the marketing bug and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Carson leads our social media amplification efforts for several clients and works with partners on One-2-Ones. When he’s not working hard executing marketing strategies for Channel Maven Consulting, Carson enjoys football, skiing and camping.
Tori Thelen, Executive Assistant/Office Manager
With a passion for organization, Tori keeps the Channel Maven office inline and Heather’s schedule running smoothly. From scheduling meetings and travel to taking care of the office details, Tori’s upbeat and optimistic attitude make us shine! With an education and background in communication and administration, Tori is passionate about marketing and pitches in when needed and keeps tabs on channel marketing trends. Tori lives just outside Boulder with her husband Chase and their daughter, Emma. When not mavening Tori enjoys quality time with family and friends, watching sports, baking, country music and crafting.
Jill McCorrison, Senior Content Creation Consultant
Content may be king but Jill is Channel Maven’s content Queen. We even gave her a crown. Jill is an innovative marketing professional with focus on increasing market penetration for all our clients and formerly Colorado non-profits. She considers the term ‘marketing geek’ a compliment. Jill loves fonts, proper spacing and is a stickler for the details. After making sure that our client’s needs are met, you can find Jill volunteering at her local school, playing pickleball and most importantly sharing her enthusiasm for life with her family. What is pickleball you may ask? We didn’t know either until we heard Jill have made the regional finals!
Sam Brown, THE Intern
Not just AN intern but THE intern, Sam is a doer of anything asked of him. Pulling content, social profile updates and analytics are his go-to’s. Only recently returned from living and studying abroad in Europe, travel is one of Sam’s greatest passions. The places he’s visited range from Bali to Prague. He also enjoys rugby, snowboarding, camping and fishing. As our intern, he is still in school and will graduate from the University of Colorado-Boulder in December.

Emily Supernavage, Marketing Consultant
Emily brings to the table years of experience in online and traditional marketing in the consumer products and B2B world. As a member of the extended Channel Maven team, Emily takes part as a lead consultant at our Social Media Rally Stations™ and is one of our go-to blog and content creators. Fluent in French, Emily has her MBA from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and is also a certified yoga instructor. In other words one moment she’s conversing with an international NASA engineer about the economic effects technology shifts and the next she’s leading the team in sun salutations.
Alyssa Summers, Content Creation Consultant
Words cannot express the power of good writing! (Oh, wait.) Alyssa is a writer on Channel Maven’s extended team, adding insights on partner marketing, sales, and communications. She brings experience ranging from high-tech hardware to SaaS and international programs. Beyond carefully crafting sentences, Alyssa practices yoga, loves traveling via motorcycle and hiking in the red rocks of Utah.
Elisabeth Bowman, Copying Writing/Editing Consultant
A part of the extended team, Elisabeth has been a freelance writer for almost 10 years. She has written and edited for high-tech, consumer products and services, healthcare, higher education and the outdoor industry. A passionate Coloradan, Elisabeth’s copywriting captures the message clients want to convey in ways that reach and activate their audiences. She has worked as an agency copywriter, journalist, copyeditor, and technical writer. When she’s not writing or reading, Elisabeth performs improv theater in and around Boulder, CO. Elisabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and German from the University of Denver and a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
