Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the Cisco Channels Social Media team to do a Virtual Velocity video for channel partners. This team has way too much fun helping their partners learn new ways to drive business. The video can be found on their Partner Velocity site along with a few other topics including Nancy Duarte’s “How to Persuade Any Audience” playback and next months “Igniting Performance” with Nilofer Merchant. All topics really touch on how to be more successful in business and I love to see manufacturers like Cisco really going the extra mile for their partners.
There were so many great questions, I’ve added the link to Cisco’s Virtual Velocity Broadcast Recap and happy to answer any further questions here.
Any points I missed? Would love any and all feedback!

Great recap, Heather. Still digesting all the useful info and actionable LinkedIn tips that you shared during the broadcast.
Good comments on LInkedIn,, we have been suggesting that partners create localized groups either for their vertical markets or by solution i.e. CRM for Ohio, or UC for Ohio.
Thanks Alex!
Hi Ken,
Thanks for the comment. I actually suggest that partners hold off on creating their own groups. They need to be “where their prospects are when they want them” not forcing prospects to go to yet another location. Once they are big enough to have their own audience (over 1000) then it’s fine to start a vertical group. There are so many groups out there an one can only join 50 that it gets a bit thin in each group.
That, of course, is just one person’s opinion. Love the feedback!
Best,
Heather
